Competition

On September 14, 20 hungry hamburger devotees will face off for the right to call themselves king or queen of prime beef. The Wild Fork Foods Burgerfest Throwdown is certain to be sizzling in this face off at Miami New Times Burgerfest. Winner of the event will not only bring home a belly ache, but also a $500 cash prize. This competition will be the highlight at Burgerfest!

Wild Fork Foods Burger eating Contest Rules

• The competition consists of a max of 20 competitors.
• The contestant to consume the most burgers with buns in 10 minutes is the winner.
• Contestants can use any beverage to help (most use water).
• Each contestant will have a designated scorer to keep track of their burger count.
• Any burgers still in contestant’s mouth after time runs out will counts as long as they are eventually swallowed.
• If a contestant vomits, he or she is disqualified.
• Ties are broken by an eat-off decided by whoever finishes 5 burgers quicker.
